Lynette reading "Bubbles" to a class of South Island primary school kids.
Lynette chose the self-publishing option because she was finding her way with her books and testing their appeal. She was introduced to BriarsBooks and Briar has worked with her for 10 years editing and bringing art and text together in an easy-to-read and easy-to-hold landscape format - glossy.
Lynette has a vivid imagination and packs her children's books full of fantastic places and small creatures - who reappear from book to book, waiting to be discovered. They are fun books with a mysterious message about living well - colourful, uplifting and cheerful and there is always a lot going on in the illustrations to hold children's interest. Lynette also designs her own covers.
Joshua the teddy bear reading his own book, called Joshua the Teddy Bear - about a small bear (himself) who travelled round Christchurch during the earthquakes delivering hugs.

She always travels with a box of books in the car and stops off at rural schools to show them to principals and school librarians. All her children's books follow the template, 30 colourful pages of art and easily readable text. First print runs of about 400 and easy print-on-demand options with delivery to the door.
