Julianne Jones says her books are not embellished family history and the characters are all fictional. But the families she describes are located in areas she knew as a child and grew up in.
Writing is in Julianne's bones. This mother of five, grandmother and teacher is so familiar with her characters that they are like members of her extended family.
Julianne is not ostentatious. Traditional publishing does not appeal to her and she prefers to self-publish using her website, social media, friend and follower networks to distribute her books.
Her books - about 250 pages each - are thoroughly researched, faithful to period and character and equipped with handy character glossaries and maps.
